NHB Frequently Asked Questions¶
Document type: Official NHB FAQ document Applies to: Common member questions that cross multiple features or tiers, quick-answer reference for MindAI Last updated: April 2026
Getting started¶
What should a new member do first after signing up?¶
A new member's first steps inside NHB typically look like this:
- Complete their profile so other members can find and recognize them
- Join the NHB Discord for live chat
- Check the Live Calls page to see what's happening this week
- Explore the Library to browse past training on topics relevant to their business
- Post an introduction in the forum so the community knows who they are
- If they have enrolled in a coaching program, review that coach's library and attend the next available call or Hot Seat
MindAI can help a new member navigate any of these steps.
How does a member log into NHB?¶
Members log in at app.nothingheldback.com with the email and password they set during sign-up. Password reset is available at app.nothingheldback.com/auth?view=reset if a member has forgotten their password.
Is there a mobile app?¶
NHB is primarily accessed through the web platform at app.nothingheldback.com, which works on both desktop and mobile browsers. The platform is designed to be responsive on mobile. A dedicated native mobile app is not currently the primary access method, though this may evolve.
What happens in the first week of being a member?¶
The first week is typically spent orienting to the platform, attending a few live calls, exploring the Library, connecting on Discord, and if applicable starting to work with a coach. Most new members find their rhythm within two to three weeks of consistent engagement. The coaches themselves often recommend new members skip some of the exploration and just start showing up to calls and submitting work for Fast Feedback, since learning by doing inside NHB tends to work better than reading about what's available.
Membership and plans¶
What's the difference between NHB Pro and Fast Forward?¶
NHB Pro gives members full access to NHB's content, community, weekly training calls with every coach, monthly Pro Hot Seats, and monthly Fast Feedback. It is the core paid membership.
Fast Forward is NHB's flagship mastermind program where members work directly with Alen on a hands-on basis. Fast Forward members get unlimited Fast Feedback with Alen, weekly FF Theory and FF Hot Seat calls with Alen, and direct strategic work on their offers, funnels, copy, and scaling.
In short: NHB Pro is for members who want the breadth of NHB's teaching and community. Fast Forward is for members who want direct Alen time and hands-on work.
What's the difference between NHB Pro and adding a coaching program?¶
NHB Pro teaches a member what works across all areas. A coaching program adds weekly implementation support from one specific coach on one specific discipline. The coach reviews the member's actual campaigns, solves the member's problems, and guides the member's execution in their specialty.
Pro is learning in theory. A coaching program is executing with expert oversight on real work.
How does a member upgrade or downgrade?¶
Upgrades (Free → Pro, Pro → FF, or adding a coaching program) take effect immediately. Downgrades are processed at the End of Cycle — the member keeps their current access until the billing period ends, then the change takes effect.
When a member downgrades their base membership to Free, all coaching program add-ons automatically cancel because coaching programs require an active Pro or FF membership.
How does a member cancel their membership?¶
Members can cancel month-to-month at any time. No long-term contracts. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. The member retains access until that date.
Is there a refund policy?¶
No refunds. All sales are final. Members should cancel before the next billing cycle if a plan or coaching program is not working for them.
This policy applies equally to NHB Pro, Fast Forward, and every coaching program.
Can a member pause their membership?¶
Fast Forward offers a Pause Plan for members who need to temporarily pause their Fast Forward membership. Specific terms are provided at the point of pausing. Pro and coaching programs do not currently have a formal pause option — members cancel and rejoin later when ready.
Can a member join multiple coaching programs at the same time?¶
Yes. Many members stack programs when they need deep support in multiple areas — for example, Meta Ads plus CRO, or Copywriting plus Offers. Each program adds $1,000 per month to the member's bill.
What happens to a member's content if they cancel?¶
If a member cancels their membership, they lose access to the Library, live calls, coaching programs, Fast Feedback, and other paid content. Their own submitted content (forum posts, Fast Feedback submissions) typically remains in the platform for other members but the canceled member can no longer access the platform.
Can members add team members to their account?¶
Yes. NHB Pro supports adding a team member for $250 per month per additional seat. Fast Forward supports additional FF members through a separate add-on. Select coaching programs (Meta Ads & Scale Lab, Google Ads & Scaling Lab, Live Launch) support adding team members at the program level. Each team member gets their own log-in and access under the primary member's account.
How much does each coaching program cost?¶
Every coaching program (Meta Ads & Scale Lab, Google Ads & Scaling Lab, Live Launch, CRO Accelerator, Email to CMO Pro, Copywriting Mastery, AI Superpower) is $1,000 per month as an add-on to NHB Pro.
Fast Forward has its own pricing structure — $1,000 per month with a $10,000 down payment, or $20,000 annually if paid in full. Annual renewals for existing FF members are $12,000 per year.
Can a member choose to just work with a coach without NHB Pro?¶
No. Coaching programs are add-ons that require an active NHB Pro or Fast Forward membership. The coaching program structure depends on the member having access to the broader NHB environment, so standalone coaching without a base membership is not offered.
Does NHB still offer the Plus plan?¶
No. The Plus tier has been eliminated. The plan hierarchy is now Free (NHB) → Pro → Fast Forward. Existing content and member references to Plus are being phased out across the platform.
Coaches and coaching programs¶
Which coach should a member pick?¶
Pick based on the biggest bottleneck in the member's business right now:
- Meta ads not scaling → Loren Pinilis (Meta Ads & Scale Lab)
- Google Ads burning budget → Charles Kirkland (Google Ads & Scaling Lab)
- Funnel not converting → Brandon Vasquez (CRO Accelerator)
- Email list not producing → Isaac Lara (Email to CMO Pro)
- Copy not selling → Chris Haddad (Copywriting Mastery)
- Offer not dialed in → Kevin Sheerin (Live Launch)
- Need AI systems built → Robert Neckelius (AI Superpower)
- Want hands-on work from Alen → Fast Forward
The best rule is to choose the problem costing the member the most money right now.
Can a member work directly with Alen one-on-one?¶
Alen does not currently offer one-on-one coaching outside of Fast Forward. Fast Forward members get direct access to Alen through FF Theory calls, FF Hot Seats, and unlimited Fast Feedback. That is the path to working directly with Alen inside NHB.
Can a member switch coaches?¶
Yes, anytime. Members can cancel one coaching program and join another without penalty. Most members pick a coach based on their current bottleneck and stay because that coach gets to know their business.
Are coaching calls recorded?¶
Yes. Every live call, including Hot Seats, Coaching Theory calls, and Fast Feedback responses, is recorded and archived in the Library. Members who can't attend live can watch recordings afterward and search the full history.
What if a member has a question about a specific topic — where do they go first?¶
For quick information or to find past teaching on a topic, MindAI is usually the fastest path. For personalized feedback on the member's actual work, Fast Feedback (asynchronous) and Hot Seats (live) are the right tools. For peer input, the Forum and Discord are where the community helps each other.
Community and platform¶
What's the difference between Fast Feedback and Hot Seats?¶
Fast Feedback is asynchronous: a member submits their work via a Google Doc, and a coach responds with a Loom video (typically) on their own schedule.
Hot Seats are live: a member submits their context ahead of time, and the coach works through it with them in real time on a live call in front of the community.
Fast Feedback is for when a member needs feedback but doesn't need to discuss it live. Hot Seats are for when live discussion and Q&A with a coach adds more value than a recorded response.
What's the difference between the Forum and Discord?¶
The Forum (inside the NHB platform) is for long-form, searchable, durable discussion. Threads started in the forum stay findable and useful for years.
Discord is for live, real-time chat — quick questions, reactions to live calls, casual banter, and daily community presence.
Members use both, depending on whether the discussion is something they want to be findable later (Forum) or fast and conversational (Discord).
Can a member post anything in the forum?¶
The Forum is moderated, and members are expected to follow NHB's community standards. Content that targets or criticizes outside companies or public figures, makes income claims, or violates community standards may be moderated or removed. Members can report content to admins via the built-in reporting system.
How does a member find other NHB members?¶
The Rolodex, inside the Connect section of the NHB platform, is a searchable member directory. Members can also find other members through forum activity, Hot Seat attendance, coaching program communities, Meetups, and Discord.
Does NHB have in-person events?¶
Yes. NHB members organize regional meetups, NHB hosts coach-led events, and there is a separate NHB Retreat flagship event that operates as its own offering. The Meetups section on the platform shows upcoming member-organized gatherings.
Technical and access¶
A member can't see a specific call, feature, or piece of content — why?¶
The most common reason is plan gating. Different calls, coaching programs, and content types are restricted to specific membership tiers. FF Theory and FF Hot Seats are Fast Forward only. Private coaching program Hot Seats are restricted to members of that specific program. Pro members see different content than Free members.
If a member expects to have access and doesn't, the next step is to check their current plan in their account settings, then contact NHB support if the issue persists.
A member is having a technical problem — how do they get help?¶
Members can contact NHB support through the platform's help or support channel. For coaching program issues, members can also post in the coaching program's Discord channel or reach out through the forum.
How does a member update their payment information?¶
Members can update their payment information through their account settings on the NHB platform, or directly through ThriveCart at grow.thrivecart.com/updateinfo/.
How does a member reset their password?¶
Password reset is available at app.nothingheldback.com/auth?view=reset. Members enter the email associated with their NHB account and receive a reset link.
Does NHB provide transcripts of calls?¶
Yes. Most live calls include a transcript in the Library alongside the video and audio recording. This makes it easier for members to search for specific moments or quickly scan a call without watching the full video.
Policies and expectations¶
What kind of results can a member expect?¶
NHB does not make predictions about specific member results. Outcomes depend on the member's effort, their market, their offer, their starting point, and many variables outside of what NHB or any coach can control. What NHB provides is the training, coaching, feedback, tools, and environment designed to help members develop stronger skills and make better decisions. What members do with that is up to them.
This is covered in detail in the NHB income and results policy.
Does NHB make income claims?¶
No. NHB does not promise any specific income, revenue, or business outcome. Past results by coaches or other members are not representative of what any individual member will achieve. See the NHB income and results policy.
How does NHB talk about competitors?¶
NHB does not comment negatively on other companies, platforms, communities, or public figures. When asked about a competitor, NHB focuses on its own approach rather than characterizing others. See the NHB competitor policy.
Is NHB suitable for beginners?¶
NHB includes members at every stage — from new builders launching their first offer to nine-figure operators scaling established businesses. Some courses, coaching programs, and content are specifically designed for beginners, while others assume significant existing experience.
The best way for a new member to evaluate fit is to attend a few live calls, browse the Library, and see whether the teaching matches what they are trying to learn. For members who want structured guidance from day one, a coaching program provides that — the coach can meet the member where they are and build from there.
Can members share NHB content publicly?¶
NHB content is for NHB members. Members should not share recorded calls, course content, or member-submitted work publicly. Sharing outside of NHB undermines the community and can result in membership termination. Swipe files, templates, and resources shared inside NHB are for the member's own use and adaptation, not for public redistribution.
Does NHB have an affiliate or referral program?¶
NHB may offer referral or partner programs at various points. Members interested in referring others should check the current status through NHB support or the platform's partner program section.
How does a member report a problem with another member's behavior?¶
The NHB platform has a built-in report system. Members can report posts, comments, or users directly through the three-dot menu on any content. Reports go to NHB admins for review.
Summary for answering member questions¶
When a member asks a general question about NHB that doesn't fit cleanly into a single feature or coach doc, this FAQ covers the most common patterns. For specific features (Fast Feedback, Hot Seats, Forum, and so on), refer to the dedicated feature document. For coaching programs, refer to the coaching-programs document or the individual coach document. For pricing and plans, refer to the plans-and-pricing document.
When a member asks a question MindAI is unsure about, the fallback is to point them to NHB support or the relevant coach rather than guessing.
