NHB Glossary

Document type: Official NHB terminology reference Applies to: Any question about what a specific NHB term means — acronyms, feature names, program names, concepts, NHB-specific vocabulary Last updated: April 2026

Summary

NHB uses specific terminology for features, programs, plan tiers, and teaching concepts. This glossary is the quick reference for what each term means. When a member asks "what does X mean," MindAI should retrieve the definition here.

Plan tiers and membership levels

Free / NHB — the entry-level tier, free to join. Limited access to most premium content. Display name updated from "Free" to "NHB" in March 2026.

NHB Pro — the core paid membership at $500 per month or $4,500 per year. Full access to NHB's content, community, weekly coaching calls, monthly Pro Hot Seats, and monthly Fast Feedback.

Fast Forward (FF) — NHB's flagship mastermind program. Direct hands-on access to Alen. $1,000 per month with a $10,000 down payment, or $20,000 per year paid in full. Renewals for existing FF members are $12,000 per year.

Plus — deprecated tier, no longer offered. Members should not expect Plus to be a current plan option. The current hierarchy is Free → Pro → Fast Forward.

Coaching Program — specialty add-ons on top of NHB Pro or Fast Forward. Each program is $1,000 per month. Each coaching program is led by one coach focused on one discipline.

Coaching programs

Meta Ads & Scale Lab (MASL) — coaching program led by Loren Pinilis, focused on Facebook and Instagram advertising.

Google Ads & Scaling Lab (GASL) — coaching program led by Charles Kirkland, focused on Google Ads and paid traffic scaling.

Live Launch (LL) — coaching program led by Kevin Sheerin, focused on offer construction, product-market fit, and low-to-mid-ticket launches.

CRO Accelerator (CROA) — coaching program led by Brandon Vasquez, focused on conversion rate optimization.

Email to CMO Pro — coaching program led by Isaac Lara, focused on email marketing and the path from marketer to CMO.

Copywriting Mastery — coaching program led by Chris Haddad, focused on direct response copywriting, VSLs, and emotional storytelling.

AI Superpower — coaching program led by Robert Neckelius, focused on AI systems for marketing and business.

Platform features

Fast Feedback (FF) — asynchronous personalized feedback from a coach. Members submit work via Google Doc, coach responds with a Loom video (typically). Note: "FF" can refer to either Fast Feedback or Fast Forward depending on context — always disambiguate from context.

Hot Seat — a live call format where a member's business, offer, or question is worked on in real time by a coach in front of the community. Members submit context via Google Doc and the coach discusses it on the scheduled call.

Live Call / Live Calls — scheduled Zoom sessions hosted by Alen, the coaching team, and guest speakers. All live calls are recorded.

NHB Theory — Alen's weekly deep-teaching call for NHB Pro members. Covers core NHB marketing and business thinking.

FF Theory — Alen's weekly deep-teaching call for Fast Forward members only. Goes deeper than NHB Theory into mastery-level material.

FF Hot Seats — Alen's weekly Hot Seat call for Fast Forward members only.

NHB Coaching Call — the umbrella term for each coach's weekly training call on their specialty (Meta Ads Scale Lab, Google Ads & Scaling Lab, and so on).

Monthly NHB Pro Hot Seat — each coach runs one per month. Replaces their regular weekly call that week. Open to any NHB Pro member who books a slot.

Library — searchable archive of every past call, Hot Seat, Fast Feedback response, course, and piece of long-form content produced inside NHB.

Library of Truth Trainings — each coach's curated set of trainings inside their coaching program's member vault. The name is the coach's own branding (Charles uses it, Brandon uses it, Loren uses it, others).

Insights — written articles and long-form content inside NHB.

Resources — practical assets like templates, swipe files, tools, and references. Separate from courses and live calls.

Swipe files — example ad creative, landing pages, sales letters, emails, and other copy assets members can reference and adapt. Alen's swipe stash is part of NHB's resources.

Courses — structured, step-by-step learning programs. Each coach has their own course curriculum inside their coaching program.

Playlists — curated ordered sequences of content pulled from the Library, organized around a specific learning path.

Meetups — in-person and virtual gatherings organized by NHB members and coaches.

Forum — NHB's native, long-form, searchable community discussion space on the platform.

Discord — NHB's live chat layer, running on the Discord platform. For real-time community conversation.

Rolodex — the searchable member directory inside the Connect section of NHB.

MindAI — the AI assistant built into NHB, trained on NHB content. Helps members find answers, navigate the library, and understand concepts.

Bookmarks — saved references to content inside NHB. Private to the member.

Public Profile — each member's profile page, visible to other members, showing bio, work, links, coaching programs, and activity.

Home Dashboard — the main landing page members see when they log into NHB.

NHB Retreat — NHB's flagship in-person experience, a separate offering from the membership and coaching programs.

Teaching concepts and frameworks

Socratic method — NHB's core teaching approach. Teaches members how to think rather than handing out step-by-step systems, templates, or fill-in-the-blank formulas. Used by Alen and throughout NHB.

P.I.G. Method (Punched In The Gut) — Chris Haddad's signature copywriting framework. Focuses on deep empathy, psychological insight, and narrative technique to create copy that produces visceral emotional response.

Compression Pricing — Alen's term for pricing structures designed to filter for committed members. The Fast Forward down-payment structure is an example — the down payment filters for members who will stay long enough to get real value.

Media Buyer's Media Buyer — Charles Kirkland's industry nickname, reflecting his role as a media buyer who teaches other media buyers.

Plan Subscription — the data type used internally for member plan-level subscriptions (was formerly called "User Current Subscription" or "Current User Subscription" before being renamed).

Coaching Subscription — the data type used internally for coaching program subscriptions (was formerly called "CoachingSubscription").

Subscription Source — the field that tags subscription records as TC (ThriveCart), IS (InfusionSoft), or Manual depending on billing origin.

Billing terminology

TC — ThriveCart. One of the two billing paths NHB uses. Legacy member subscriptions often run through ThriveCart.

IS — InfusionSoft. The primary billing path for most new member subscriptions, via NHB's custom IS API built by Umair.

End of Cycle (EOC) — when downgrades and cancellations take effect. Upgrades are immediate; downgrades are processed at the end of the current billing period.

Organizational terminology

NHB — Nothing Held Back. The community and platform.

AlphaFour — Alen's company that operates NHB.

NHB Mostar (NHBTEAM) — the active internal team used for project management (Linear tickets).

Content type terminology

Post — the universal library-facing record for any piece of content (live call, Hot Seat, Fast Feedback, forum thread, and more). Internal to NHB's data model.

Access Level — how a specific piece of content is gated by membership tier (Free, Pro, Fast Forward).

Required Plan — the minimum plan needed to access a specific piece of content.

Who is who

Alen Sultanic — founder of NHB, legendary direct response marketer, leads Fast Forward mastermind.

Max Iver — NHB team lead and product owner.

The Coaches — the seven specialists who lead coaching programs alongside Alen: Chris Haddad (copywriting), Charles Kirkland (Google Ads), Loren Pinilis (Meta Ads), Brandon Vasquez (CRO), Isaac Lara (email), Kevin Sheerin (offers/launches), Robert Neckelius (AI).

Summary for answering member questions

When a member asks "what does X mean" or about NHB terminology, the answer should come from this glossary. If the term is a feature or coach or program, refer to the specific dedicated document for full detail. If the term is a broader industry term (CRO, AOV, LTV), this glossary gives the short definition and points to where in NHB the concept is taught.

If a member asks about a term not in the glossary, MindAI should say so directly rather than guess. Members asking about unfamiliar terms are often looking for clarity, and a wrong definition is worse than admitting the term isn't covered.
