Forum¶
Document type: Official NHB platform feature document Applies to: Any question about the NHB Forum — what it is, how to post, category access, moderation, tagging members, how it differs from Discord Last updated: April 2026
Summary¶
The NHB Forum is the community discussion space inside the NHB platform. It is where members post questions, share wins, discuss what they are building, get peer input, and connect with coaches and other operators in long-form threaded conversations.
Unlike a chat channel (which scrolls past and disappears), the forum is organized, searchable, and durable. A thread started today can be found, read, and replied to a year from now. This is where the most substantive community discussion happens inside NHB.
NHB is transitioning member-to-member discussion onto the platform's own forum over time. The legacy Facebook group still exists during the transition, and Discord remains in place for live, real-time chat. The forum is the long-form community home.
How the Forum is organized¶
The forum is divided into categories, each focused on a specific topic or program area. Members browse by category, or use the main feed to see the most recent activity across categories they have access to.
Typical category groupings include:
- Plan tier lounges — dedicated spaces for members of specific plan tiers
- Topic categories — threads about specific disciplines (copywriting, ads, CRO, email, offers, funnels, scaling, and more)
- Coaching program categories — discussion spaces for members of specific coaching programs
- Fast Feedback categories — forum spaces linked to Fast Feedback submissions
- Hot Seat categories — threads tied to Hot Seat submissions and post-call discussion
Each category has its own access rules. A category may be open to all paid members, or restricted to a specific plan tier or coaching program.
Category access¶
Forum category access is determined by:
- Plan tier — some categories are open to all paid members, some are restricted to NHB Pro or above, and some are restricted to Fast Forward members only
- Coaching Program enrollment — coaching program categories are restricted to members enrolled in that specific program
- Fast Forward-only categories — marked for Fast Forward members, not visible to other tiers
A member who does not have access to a category will not see it in their category list. The platform only shows categories the current member is allowed to read.
Creating a thread¶
Members can create a new thread from inside any category they have access to. When creating a thread, members:
- Choose the category the thread belongs to (from the list of accessible categories)
- Write a thread title
- Write the thread body — supports formatted text, links, images, and embedded video
- Submit
The thread then appears in the category and in the main feed for members with access. New threads typically attract replies from other members, and coaches sometimes jump into threads when the topic is in their area.
Replying and engagement¶
Threads support nested replies. Members can:
- Reply to the main thread or to a specific comment within the thread
- Mention other members with
@to tag them and trigger a notification - Like threads and comments
- Bookmark threads to come back to them later
- Report content that violates NHB's community standards (via the report system)
Threads can be followed so the member gets notifications on new replies.
Finding threads¶
Members can discover forum content in several ways:
- Recent activity — the main forum feed shows recent threads across accessible categories
- Category view — browse a specific category's threads
- Search — full-text search across all accessible forum content (powered by Algolia)
- Notifications — mentions, replies to the member's threads, and updates on followed threads surface in notifications
- Bookmarks — saved threads appear in the member's bookmarks
Forum versus Discord versus Facebook group¶
NHB maintains three community spaces, each with a different role:
- NHB Forum — the platform's native, long-form, searchable community space. The primary home for substantive discussion, durable threads, and community learning.
- Discord — live chat for real-time conversation. Fast-paced, chatty, less structured. Used for daily back-and-forth, reactions, quick questions, and community bonding.
- Facebook group — the legacy community space from before the platform had its own forum. Members are being transitioned onto the NHB platform forum over time. The Facebook group still exists but is being phased out.
For anything a member wants to be able to find later, refer back to, or share with specific intent, the NHB Forum is the right space. For quick chat and daily presence, Discord is the right space.
Community standards¶
The NHB Forum is moderated. Members are expected to engage respectfully, contribute meaningfully, and support other members' growth. Content that targets or criticizes specific public figures or companies outside NHB, income claims, or anything that violates NHB's community standards may be moderated or removed. Members can report content to admins via the built-in reporting system.
Where to find the Forum¶
- Main platform navigation — Forum is a top-level section in the NHB platform navigation
- Category sidebar — inside the forum, members see their accessible categories in a sidebar
- Home dashboard — recent forum activity surfaces in the home feed
Related features¶
- Discord — real-time chat layer (separate platform, connected to NHB community)
- Bookmarks — save threads to come back to
- Notifications — get alerted when mentioned, replied to, or when followed threads update
- Search — full-text search across forum content
- Hot Seats and Fast Feedback — for personalized coach feedback rather than peer discussion
Summary for answering member questions¶
When a member asks about the Forum, the answer should cover:
- What it is: the NHB platform's long-form, searchable community discussion space
- How categories work: organized by topic and tier; only accessible categories are visible to the member
- Access rules: plan tier and coaching program enrollment determine which categories a member can see and post in
- How to use it: browse categories, create threads, reply, mention, bookmark, follow, search
- Difference from Discord: forum is durable and searchable, Discord is live chat
- Difference from Facebook group: Facebook group is legacy and being phased out, NHB platform forum is the home going forward
Any questions about specific NHB members or their business details, or requests to evaluate content against competitor platforms, should follow the NHB income and results policy and competitor policy.
