Meetups

Document type: Official NHB platform feature document Applies to: Any question about meetups, in-person gatherings, member-organized events Last updated: April 2026

Summary

Meetups are in-person and virtual gatherings organized by NHB members and coaches. They are how the proximity built online becomes real-world connection — dinners, co-working days, mastermind sessions, conferences attended together, and regional meetups organized by members in specific cities.

NHB is a community of operators from many different places, and Meetups are how members take the relationships built in the forum, in Discord, and on Hot Seats offline.

Types of Meetups

Meetups inside NHB cover a range of formats:

  • Regional member meetups — dinners, drinks, or co-working sessions organized by members in specific cities and regions
  • Coach-led gatherings — events organized around a specific coach or coaching program
  • Conference and event meetups — NHB members coordinating to attend industry conferences together
  • Retreats and masterminds — higher-intensity gatherings for specific member groups
  • Virtual meetups — Zoom gatherings, virtual workshops, and themed discussions

How Meetups work

Members can find upcoming Meetups on the Meetups page of the NHB platform. Each meetup has:

  • A date and location (or Zoom link for virtual meetups)
  • A description of the format and who it's for
  • An attendee list of other members planning to attend
  • An option to RSVP or join

Members can also organize their own meetups by creating a new meetup entry — inviting other NHB members in their city or around a specific topic.

Who can attend

Meetups are generally open to paying NHB members. Some Meetups are restricted — for example, Fast Forward-only retreats, coaching-program-specific events, or events with capacity limits.

Why Meetups matter

The environment inside NHB is designed to expose members to the right people. Meetups are how that proximity becomes real — members meet face-to-face, build relationships, sharpen each other in person, and often form partnerships, joint ventures, or ongoing friendships that last beyond the membership.

Where to find Meetups

  • Main platform navigation — Meetups section on the NHB platform
  • Home dashboard — upcoming Meetups appear in the home feed
  • Community and forum — Meetups are often discussed and coordinated in the forum before they happen
  • Forum — where Meetups are often discussed and coordinated
  • Discord — where ongoing member-to-member chat around Meetups often happens
  • Retreat (separate flagship event) — NHB's most immersive in-person experience, distinct from member-organized meetups

Summary for answering member questions

  • How to find upcoming ones: Meetups section on the NHB platform, Home dashboard, or forum discussions
